19 of Medvedev's 21 titles have been achieved on hard courts
A resurgent Medvedev won his maiden trophy for nearly 30 months with a win over Frenchman Moutet in the tournament final.
The athlete, a ex- top-ranked player, has experienced a challenging year, managing just a single victory at the big events and undergoing a setback at the American major.
Medvedev's varied form on the professional circuit - and difficulties with his serving in especial - led to him exiting of the elite rankings and eventually separating with long-time mentor Gilles Cervara.
Now training with his coach and Goetzke, the tennis star has steadily progressed in the recent weeks - climaxing in a closely contested three-set triumph over opponent Moutet.
This marks Medvedev's first championship since the Italian tournament and maiden on a hard court after spring of 2023.
Success also indicates the Russian has secured twenty-one championships at twenty-one various events.
"It's the first time I'm at a tournament with my two daughters at once, so to win a championship is particularly special," said world number 14 the champion.
"This championship is in dedication of my child Victoria, because the maiden victory I got when my child her name was born was for her."
The tennis star, the 2021 US Open champion, had been defeated in his last six championship matches, including in that event earlier this year.
His defensive approach and recurring emotional displays on court had prompted some to doubt if his skill to perform at the elite level was concluded.
But the player has implemented adjustments in the last few weeks, making an effort to come to the net and perform positively, reinforced by an enhanced serve.
He fought back from a break down in the opening set against the difficult opponent, taking 4 of the concluding five games to gain the advantage.
The competitors exchanged break points in the second set before the challenger, attempting for his initial ATP Tour victory, took control to create a decider.
He rescued 4 initial opportunities in a close third set before Medvedev secured a break to fifteen to serve for the match.
Appropriately, the winner clinched the win with a point at the net, with his opponent incapable to manage a return after over two and a half hours.
